FREEZER PAPER STENCILS!

Here is a super easy way to make a stencil for painting on t-shirts, canvas bags and more!
This butterfly is from the Wall Decor and More cartridge. I used the freezer paper stencil and then painted with fabric paint. Imagine the possibilities of being able to turn your Cricut designs into wearable art!

Cutting with vinyl

Wow! I didn't realize it had been that long since I posted on here! Sorry! It was a busy summer with my daughter getting married and everything else that keeps one busy when the weather is nice. I will try to get better about posting!
I came across this video for cutting with vinyl and thought that since my last post was about using vinyl to make stencils, this might be a helpful video!

I found some really cool sites with directions for making flowers that I will post later so check back!

Chicago

Wow! I had a fantastic time in Chicago! I learned many cool new things and met lots of wonderful people! The excitement centered around the awesome new Cricut Cake machine! It has all the features of the Cricut Expression but it cuts fondant, gum paste and icing sheets. You can cut ANY of the images found on any of the Cricut cartridges (there are over 150 cartridges and they introducing 4-6 new ones every month!). Imagine the amazing cakes you can create! Be sure to check it out!
I am currently planning out a tent style card to hold seed packets and possibly table numbers for my daughters wedding next month. I will post pictures as soon as I get some done!
Have a super week!~

TRAINING!

Well, I am off to Chicago for some Cricut training! I can't wait to learn new stuff to share with you and to meet up with some of you fellow Cricuteers! I just love learining new ways to use my Cricut! When I first got my bug, I thought I would use it just for scrapbooking and an occasional card. I am quickly learning that it helps me make my scrapbook pages even better than I imagined PLUS it can do so much more! My Children think I am a little obsessed with my bug (and they are probably right!) but we just have so much fun together! Still have some packing to do, wish me luck!~

Glass Etching

This video is the best one I have found for etching on glass. You use the Cricut to cut vinyl to use as a stencil and then use glass etching cream. If you look at the comments, she recommends not using PYREX bakeware. I didn't see that until after I tried it. I left the cream on for 60 seconds as per instructions. I didn't think it had done anything so I put cream back on for another 2 minutes and it worked fine! I did several pieces and was able to etch the PYREX in three minutes. Hope everyone on my Christmas list like etched glass!

OK, I am new to all this blogging stuff but I am going to give it a shot!
As you may have heard, I have been hired to be a Cricut demonstrator! I am super excited! I will be going to Chicago soon for training and then will do demonstrations at the local Michaels store on Sunday afternoons during the months of May and June.
I will try to keep this blog posted with all the cool things I learn about the Cricut. I will attach links to some of the videos that show some of the amazing things you can do with the Cricut and post pics of some of my own work.
